Babe Equip - Baby Dam REVIEW

The Baby Dam was a product that I was unsure whether I would honestly get much use out of.  I have tried it and love it's simple but very clever design. Fundamentally it is a flexible plastic 'divider' that fits into the normal bath to provide, in theory and practise, a smaller bath for babies and small children.

The Baby Dam is easy to fit
Simply place the baby Dam into place and fill the bath as normal. Water will only fill in the one side providing a smaller bath for baby. This makes a safer and more intimate bathing area.

When in place fill bath as normal
The area behind the Baby Dam (not filled with water) can provide an easy to reach area to keep sponges, shampoo, soap and other equipment needed to bathe your baby without it getting wet or having to reach for it whilst supporting your baby.

Provides easy to reach storage
I really liked this piece of equipment for a number of reasons.  The smaller bathing area means it is like having a traditional baby bath in your own bath, it reduces the amount of water required to bath your child which in turn reduces water and energy usage (every little helps!) I also liked having everything I need close at hand without having to reach for it and Tala seemed quite happy having the divider in the bath with him.....

If you wished your toddler to have a deeper bath, the Baby Dam has a plug that fits into the middle of the divider so the water level can be increased.  To remove the Baby Dam simply empty the bath as normal and then once empty lift the yellow rings on the securing 'feet' (just visible on the above 2 photo's) The item is lightweight and fairly easy to store - ready for your next use.
