Babe Equip - BumGenius washable nappy (V3) REVIEW

As you will know I love my washable nappies - and even though I have used them on 3 of my 4 children I hadn't tried a BumGenius - Babe Equip was about to change that.

I was sent the BumGenius reuseable nappy (V3) to try out and review.

I was struck by how simply the nappy was designed, the nappy had a combination of the traditional Velcro fastening teamed with plastic poppers or tabs, that meant the nappy could be adjusted size wise.  This meant, according to the website, the nappy would suit babies from birth to potty! As the initial outlay for washable nappies can be expensive this is certainly an appealing feature.

The outside of the nappy is soft to the touch and not at all stiff or rubbery as you may expect from a waterproof outer. The leg elastic is soft and gentle but provides a snug fit to avoid leaks.

The inside material is softer still and feels soft even after being washed several times.  The nappy comes with 2 terry towelling feeling nappy inserts to boast absorbency and I used these with a one way weave top liner.

I found the nappy very easy to use and washed well and dried very quickly - all great bonuses in a washable nappy - trust me!

Tala seemed comfortable and was leak-free when using in the daytime or at night. I would recommend definitely considering the BumGenius when looking to buy washable nappies especially if they truly are usable birth to potty.
