REVIEW One Stop Pamper Shop - Melt Blocks

In a recent Listography of 5 things I couldn't live without I listed  candles in my top 5. I have a candle burner which I love to fill with wax tarts from Yankee Candles and induldge myself in the scent.

I am fussy when it come to my candles as I have tried so many over the years that have promised powerful aroma but rarely live up to it when they are opened and melted in the burner - to me the stronger and more powerful the scent the better as I like the gorgeous smell to waft through the whole house.

I asked Maryann at One Stop Pamper Shop if I could review her Melt Blocks as they were of a similar type to the wax tarts I currently use.  We decided to go with the 'lemonade' fragrance as I was intrigued by what that might smell of.

When the block arrived it was packaged in a clear blister pack and the smell. although faint, was evident even in the unopened packaging.  It was lemony and sweet - lemonade like!

The packaging was practical and the instructions underneath were well written and easy to understand. The blocks were not as solid as my usual brand but this made them easy to remove from the packaging and separate into smaller pieces which was great as a block was made up of 9 smaller blocks.  This way you could alter the amount of blocks melted according to the size of your candle burner and also mix smells if you had more than one fragrance.

Easy to separate blocks.....
The blocks melted reasonably quickly in the burner and the smell was evident even before they melted.  As the selected smell was lemonade I personally would have liked the lemon to be more evident in the aroma rather than the sweet 'hit'  but then again lemonade is sweet rather than lemony.

The blocks melted reasonably quickly.
The smell lasted longer than the tea light underneath the burner which was great but when I added another tea light the smell was not as strong but still there.  The blocks retail on the site at £3.00 (there is 10% off at the moment bringing them to £2.70) and P&P costs start at £1.39. This price works out cheaper than my current brand if I was to get 3 separate uses from the one block - well worth considering when I next buy candles!

The blocks were available in 55 different aromas so loads of choices.  I am very intrigued by 'Werewolf' and 'Butt Naked'! One Stop Pamper Shop doesn't just sell candles either.  It also has a large selection of other items including gifts, jewellery and car air fresheners - the name of the site seems to be very apt - One Stop Pamper Shop indeed!
