Our family was sent a COPT pack that contained a digi-skip, a digi-kick - both kept digital scores of how many kicks or skips you managed. There was also a webcam so you could upload to the website, a stopwatch, score board and a lovely Fruitshoot drawstring bag to store it all in.
The challenge was called Champion of the Playground but we decided to do it at home and have our own Champion of the Household instead - any excuse for me to skip and act like a kid...
We took it in turns to skip with the digi rope, do keepy-uppys with the digi-kick using the palms of our hands and also on our feet (the digi-kick didn't seem to count score when used on your feet so we had to keep our own scores for that part) We timed each other for 2 minutes and had three turns on each activity. Every score was recorded on our Champion of the Household scoreboard so we could see how we were doing.
Pre-teen starts the skip challenge |
keepy-uppys on the foot.... |
..and on the palm of your hand. |
and the winner is....... |
The Scoreboard is able to be wiped clean and the digi-rope and digi-kick are robust so we will definitely be doing the challenge again. As an extra bonus, once the score had been counted on the digitalised kit a code is generated that can then be added to the Fruitshoot website so you can play against other people. Sadly the website did not work for us but we will keep trying as it is a nice idea.
