Winner announcement! - Competition - Seabands

Something that I wished I had remembered when I was pregnant with Tala was Sea-Bands.  They are a drug-free way to treat feelings of nausea whether it be from morning or travel sickness and are completely natural.

Anti-nausea relief from Sea-Bands

Quite simply they are a washable, reusable elasticated band worn around the wrist that has a plastic 'stud' on it (see above photo).  It is this plastic stud that gives continuous pressure on the wrist through acupressure.  This form of acupressure has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years and is known to prevent or relieve nausea.  I used Sea-Bands in my second pregnancy successfully but forgot this time around and suffered.

Sea-Bands are also great for travel sickness and having 2 children that cannot read in the car without feeling sick I had the perfect subjects to try them on.  Pre-teen cannot even read road signs when we are travelling so I challenged her to do just that whilst wearing her Sea-Bands.  Although slight sickness was experienced,she did say that the symptoms were not as severe as usual.  Middle Son reported no feelings of sickness whilst wearing his.

Sea-Bands are supplied in their own plastic case making it easy to keep them in the car.  Because they come in a range of trendy colours the children do not feel conscience of their friends seeing them on at all and Middle Son has to be reminded to take his off!
