In swimming every second counts!

As I have mentioned in the past, my daughter is a competitive swimmer.  I am proud of the commitment that she shows at what is really still quite a young age.

She trains in the pool for about 11 hours per week currently, so with all that time spent in the water swimming costumes are well used and need to be able to stand up to the challenge of the sheer amount of lengths that are swam in a week, as well as be comfortable and functional.

We were sent a  Speedo Endurance SD LZR Comp Recordbreaker Kneeskin swimming costume from the lovely team at Simply Swim to review and give our thoughts on.

Pre-teen tried it on for a weeks worth of training.  Within that week she covered backstroke, fly, breastroke and freestyle as well as diving and many other swim training drills, which as you can imagine, puts both the  arms and legs of the swimsuit under pressure.  The main areas of the costume that would come under strain are the seams around the bottom of the leg (at the knee) and the shoulder straps.  Pre-teen was more than happy with it and there were no red marks from the costume rubbing and the legs did not roll up - both things that have happened with many other costumes in the past.

As the garment is chlorine resistant it was really simple and quick just to rinse in cold water and hang out to dry ready for the next day.

The fit of the garment is great and the seams are strong, with an RRP of £65.00 (less any P & P) I have to say we are very impressed and hope the name of the swimsuit 'Record Breaker' is true when it comes to her next swimming gala in a few weeks - every second counts in any sport and it is amazing how a well fitting costume can help with that.
