Dear Tala,

Since you made your 12 day late entrance into the world at 12:45pm on Monday 4th October 2010 weighing an impressive 10lbs 13ozs I have been captivated by you.

You have been the most delightful joy for the last year and I cannot remember my life without you in it.

You have grown and transformed from this 'small' bundle of love with your black hair to...

...the beautiful happy, smiling boy with the sticky up blonde hair we know and adore today.

Although we couldn't celebrate your birthday in the way I would have imagined I want you to know how special you are to your family and how much love and joy we get from you being part of it.

Happy 1st birthday, I love you.
