Wild Science - learning and fun in one!

I had to literally hold my children back when they saw the Wild Science Rocket Ball Factory set.  Just the packaging had them scurrying for the box with cries of "Can we do this please?"

Although it is listed on the Wild Science website as a boys science kit both Middle Son and Pre- Teen daughter were equally absorbed in creating the 'Mass Accelerating Launch Balls' and worked well together as a team on the project which is always nice to see.  Here is their review in pictures...

Select the size ball you want to create (3 shells to choose from)

 

Put on the safety glasses and carefully fill the shell with the moulding granules

Once filled place shell in water enough to cover (adding a tube through the shell) 

After submersing shell in water for at least 30 seconds carefully remove

Pull shell gently apart.......

....your multi coloured 'Mass Accelerating Launch Ball' is revealed !

CAUTION: follow instructions carefully at the water stage or ball will not set properly.

The Wild Science Rocket Ball Factory set had a really easy to follow colour instruction leaflet and I only had to supervise and not end up doing the set myself because it was too hard.  The children really enjoyed the kit and better still the Launch Balls were made with glow in the dark moulding granules and were bouncy once moulded. 

I would definitely consider buying another set from the Wild Science range and the children have already been on the website making a list of their requirements for birthdays and Christmas!

Good fun with an educational element an easy to follow instructions - a great combination in my view.
