It is a small pillow to help prevent babies getting a 'flattened' head from sleeping on their backs all the time as is the suggested position for babies.
Initial reaction: The pillow itself feels very comfortable and looks like it is made to a high quality standard. The packaging contains detailed instructions as to his use and how to wash. The only thing I cannot see on my initial read of the box is the list of materials used in the pillow itself.
Upon Use: I have been using this pillow (or rather Tala has!) for about a month now and I have found it very easy to use especially for new babies (Theraline recommend using from birth to get the best from the product). As Tala has grown he now is 'playing' with the pillow when going to sleep which is not always helpful. As Tala is still in a moses basket I was concerned that the pillow would be too big for the basket and would only suitable for a cot but this was not the case and fitted with room at each side. If anything the pillow could have done with being larger as Tala had a tendency to keep moving his head off the side of it if he was not very tired, although the pre-shaped hollow for his head did stop this to a certain degree.
The Specifications: I always like to know what a product is made with especially when using on my children but I was comforted when Theraline confirmed that it is BPA free and matches the Oeko-tex 100 standard for baby textiles.
