So, I hear you say? No problem except they start at 7am with a 30 minute journey to get there!!
I set the alarm for 5.50am this morning and as my children are yet to go back to school (roll on tomorrow) I thought it may remind them about getting up and dressed before 10am. I had the same plan last week but we all slept in...
So when the alarm was blaring this morning and I awoke to find the rest of the house snoring and I had to try and feed, dress and organise 3 children and then pick up a friends child on the way , I simply thought 2 things.
1) I must be mad doing this with a 6 month old baby.
2) Pre-teen better end up being an olympic swimmer after all the effort.
I suppose when any parent looks back at the hoops they jump through to secure the 'right' school, good role models for their children or whatever else it is that you find important to achieve on or with them, I bet you could never have imagined yourself doing anything like it before they were born, or even more so in the days when children didn't even enter the equation - ah yes I think I remember those days......
