I have recently been trying the
E45 Junior range of products with my 2 middle children. When they were babies both of them suffered from Eczema which, at times, was difficult to sooth especially when they had flare ups. During such times I tended to use products designed for Eczema prone skin which did help.
Both children have since outgrown their Eczema but Pre-teen especially suffers from dry skin still, and I put this down to her spending up to 12 hours a week in the swimming pool with her competitive swimming club.
I was sent the E45 Junior Foaming Bath Milk, Hand & Body Wash and Moisturising Lotion to try.

E45 Junior range of products |
The children loved the Foaming Bath Milk because of the huge amount of bubbles it produced alone! The Bath Milk has two layers that combine when shaken to produce a gentle bath milk that allows even delicate skin to enjoy a bubble bath.

Before shaking to mix the two layers |

After shaking a milky bath foam is produced |
The
Foaming Bath Milk was really easy to mix and required very little to produce a good amount of bubbles, just pour a small amount under the running tap. The bath milk cleansed their skin but was non-drying. It is perfume free so don't expect an amazing smell from the product.
We also tried the E45 Junior
Hand and Body Wash which although a clear 'gel like' product contained brightly coloured beads which was a novel idea.
|
Bubble beads contain mineral oils |
I also tried this product on my hands but found that it stayed in gel form for a bit too long before it 'foamed' although this may just encourage children to wash their hands more fully before rinsing! It was again gentle on the skin and fragrance free but I did find this product went down a lot slower than the other two products we were trying so I don't think my children would necessarily use this instead of their normal hand or body wash.
The last product from the range we tried was the
E45 Junior Moisturising Lotion. I found, in my opinion, that the lotion itself was a little 'thin' and I would have preferred a little more richness to it.

I would have preferred a richer lotion |
It did absorb well into the skin and provided moisture but it was fairly short lived. Because it is so gentle it could be re-applied frequently and is safe for use on the face although I didn't try it on the children's faces. I think it is great to keep for everyday use but I do think I would look for perhaps a richer emollient if it was for Eczema or dry skin conditions particularly.
So if you have skin sensitive or Eczema prone skin or just fancy a gentle PH balanced range of products the E45 Junior range is available from Boots and supermarkets.
